Halfmoon Firefighters attend Fire Academy

Fire Prevention Officer Gary Rogers, Safety Officer John Cooper, Captain John Napples and Firefighter Christian McMahon attended the Public Fire Safety Educator's Conference in May. This conference provided a series of presentations and demonstrations of public fire prevention education programs. It also offered firefighters new ideas in presenting the program to both children and adults.

Assistant Chief Sean Dickinson, Safety Officer Cooper and Captain Tim Primeau also attended the academy for On-Scene Rehabilitation for Emergency Operations course. This course explained the procedures for rehab operations for emergency responders to meet the requirements of NFPA 1500.
