February Structure Fires

On Thursday, February 23rd Halfmoon Firefighters responded, under mutual aid, to Clifton Park to a structure fire at the Plank Road Plaza. Upon arrival, the fire had extended through the roof of the structure. Firefighters from throughout southern Saratoga County (and northern Colonie) worked for several hours to control the fire and prevent further damage to the plaza.

On Saturday, February 25th Halfmoon Firefighters once again responded under mutual aid to Clifton Park to the Twin Lakes Apartment Complex. Arriving fire crews found eight of the building's sixteen apartment units fully involved in fire. Firefighters worked for several hours, battling cold weather and frozen fire hydrants, to control the fire spread and on overhaul operations. Fire damage was confined to the one building (16 apartment units).
