In the past couple of weeks HMFD responded to 2 structure fires were there was minimal damage to the residences.

On Tuesday January 23rd at 10:00 PM we responded to a reported structure fire on Birchwood Drive to find smoke coming from the residence. As crews made their way into the structure a small fire was located in the basement. A sump pump shorted out igniting a roll of carpet that was standing up in a closet. Saratoga County Cause and Origin Team along with West Crescent Fire were on the scene to assist.

On Sunday February 4th at 2:50 PM, we were dispatched to a reported working structure fire on Guideboard Road. Upon arrival, the homeowner had the fire knocked down that started on the back porch.
