HMFD Structure Fire 6/11/05

On Saturday, June 11th, 2005 Halfmoon Firefighters responded to a working garage fire on Middletown Road in Waterford. First arriving units found the garage fully involved in fire with fire extension to the car parked in the driveway and the adjacent house. While the garage was a total loss, Firefighters made an aggressive attack and quickly knocked down the flames in the adjacent house. Firefighters remained on the scene doing overhaul and checking for hot spots for another two hours. The high heat and humidity made fighting the fires extremely difficult for Firefighters. Assisting on the scene were the West Crescent FD, Hillcrest FD, and Waterford FD, Northside FD, Vischer Ferry FD , Waterford Rescue Squad, and the Saratoga County Cause & Origin Team.
