River Crest Structure Fire

On Tuesday, June 27th , the Halfmoon Fire Department (HMFD) was dispatched to a reported working structure fire on Cooks Court in the River Crest Development. HMFD Firefighters, who were at the station for weekly training, responded quickly with 3 Chiefs, 3 Engines, and 1 EMS vehicle. Upon arrival firefighters found fire and heavy smoke coming from the residence. The fire was quickly extinguished by Firefighters but not before the kitchen area received heavy fire damage and the residence heavy smoke damage. Firefighters spent several hours performing extinguishment, overhaul and investigation before returning to service. HMFD was assisted at the fire scene by the West Crescent FD, Boght FD (FAST Team), and the Clifton-Park Halfmoon Ambulance (fire standby). No injuries were reported.
