HMFD Scene Support 4/16/05

The Halfmoon-Waterford Fire District hosted a “Fire Scene Support Operations” class for new Firefighters at the Halfmoon Fire Station. Firefighters covered a whole list of basic firefighting skills including protective clothing (PPE), breathing apparatus (SCBA), fire hydrants, hose lines, ladders, and OSHA safety topics. This is one of the first classes that many Firefighters will take in there careers with a volunteer department. The Instructor was GE Silicones Fire Brigade Chief Gerry Morigerato who was assisted by HMFD Firefighters John Napples and Tim Primeau. HMFD Firefighters Gene Morrisey, Eugene Paquette, Brian Moore, and Jeff Dooling completed the class.
