4 & 32 MVA
On Sunday,
June 18th the Halfmoon Fire Department (HMFD) was dispatched to a report
of a two vehicle auto accident (MVA) with both cars rolled over with entrapment.
The Hillcrest Fire Department was immediately requested to provide extrication
assistance and traffic control at the scene. Upon arrival HMFD Chief Officers
found that one car was rolled over on its roof with two occupants trapped
in the vehicle. The second vehicle was several hundred feet down the roadway
upright on the shoulder with no entrapment. Arriving Firefighters extricated
all the patients, provided medical care, and removed leaking fluids and
debris from the roadway. Patients were transported by Clifton-Park Halfmoon
Ambulance, Waterford Rescue Squad, and Mechanicville Ambulance to area
hospitals for treatment.
