Middletown Rd. 1/2/05
On Sunday,
January 2nd, 2005, the Halfmoon Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle
accident on Middletown Road in Waterford, NY. Upon arrival, Firefighters
found a single vehicle with the driver’s door against a utility
pole. The driver, suffering from minor injuries, was unable to exit the
vehicle due to its location. Firefighters used the “Jaws of Life”
to remove the passenger side front and rear doors so that the driver could
be removed from the vehicle safely. The driver was then transported to
the hospital by the Waterford Rescue Squad for evaluation. Middletown
Road was closed in the area for approximately 45 minutes while the accident
was cleared. No other injuries were reported.
