House Fire 4/21/05

On Thursday, April 21st, 2005 Halfmoon Firefighters responded to a reported house fire on Lower Newtown Road in Halfmoon. First arriving units found heavy fire coming from the front and roof of the structure. Firefighters made an aggressive attack and quickly knocked down the flames. Firefighters remained on the scene doing overhaul and checking for hot spots for another hour. This section of the fire district does not have fire hydrants so a tanker shuttle was established to provide water for fire suppression activities. Assisting on the scene were West Crescent FD, Hillcrest FD, and Boght FD with a FAST Team.
