Halfmoon Firefighters attend State Training

Chief John Cooper Jr, Lieutenant Tim Primeau and Fire Prevention Officer Gary Rogers attended Hazardous Materials Technician Course held at the Round Lake Fire Station. The course prepares emergency response personnel to effectively and safely respond to and stabilize incidents involving Hazardous Materials in an offensive mode.

Assistant Chief Mark Smith, Safety Officer Earl McMahon and Gary Rogers recently attended the Scott 2.2/4.5 Breathing Apparatus Maintenance Course held at the State Fire Academy in Montour Falls. This course helps fire personnel perform field maintenance on the breathing apparatus.

The Clifton Park Fire Department brought in Chief Billy Goldfeder from the Loveland-Symmes Fire Department in Ohio to conduct a seminar on Firefighters Scared Straight. Members attending this seminar were Chief John Cooper Jr., Assist Chiefs Chuck Kuhns and Mark Smith, Safety Officer Earl McMahon, Captain John Napples, Lieutenant Tim Primeau, Fire Police Captain Curt Bouchard and Firefighters Don Doin, Gary Rogers and Gene Morrissey.
