HMFD kicks off Fire Prevention Week

On Sunday, October 7th Halfmoon Fire Department held their annual open house to start off fire prevention week. This event gets bigger every year with events and attendance.

This years events included fire prevention handouts and information for children up to senior citizens. Ernie McHale was on hand to perform some magician acts related to fire safety. The Waterford Fire Department participated with their fire safety house. Department of Criminal Justice Services were on hand to take pictures of children for Operation Safe Child. The Town of Clifton Park brought their Fire Safety School Bus for children and parents to tour. A demonstration was held on stove fires and children had the pleasure of playing on a bouncy bounce and a fire truck slide.
