Structure
Fire
On Thursday, April 15th at 20:38 hours the Halfmoon/Waterford
Fire District was dispatched to a working structure fire at 23 Church
Hill Road. Upon arrival firefighters found the side of the garage fully
involved. The fire spread through the eaves and into the garage but was
stopped before it got into the residence.
Fourty-three firefighters from the Fire District as well as from the neighboring departments of West Crescent, Hillcrest, Clifton Park and Boght assisted at the scene. Waterford fire department was assigned to stand by for other calls and was needed to respond to Route 9 for a motor vehicle accident alarm with injuries.
The Saratoga County Cause and Origin Team was called to assist and the cause is under investigation.
