WORKING GARAGE FIRE – ROUTE 9
4/1/2008, at 23:53 the Halfmoon Fire Department responded to a working garage fire on Route 9 in the town of Halfmoon.  The garage was used for a body shop and there were 10 vehicles burning, some inside and some outside the structure.

Units from West Crescent, Clifton Park, Hillcrest and a fast team from Boght Community Fire Departments (FD) assisted on scene.  Waterford Village FD was on stand-by at our Station 1.

There was a 8 foot high stockade fence that surrounded the property which caused some difficulty getting to the fire.  Firefighters had to remove sections of the fence to gain access to the fire.

The fire was brought under control at 03:22. There were not any injuries to firefighters or the property owner. New York State Police and the Saratoga County Cause and Origin team were on-scene to investigate the fire.
