Congratulations to the HMFD Fight for Air Stair Climb Champions

On April 18, a four-man team from the HMFD competed in the 2010 "Fight For Air" stair climb conducted by the American Lung Association. The Climb challenged entrants to get to the top of 1 Commerce Plaza - twenty stories in all - as quickly as possible. Firefighter participants were required to wear full gear, including air packs.

The HMFD team, comprised of Assistant Chief Connors and Firefighters Muise, Hutchens, Semenza and E. D'Alessandro, decisively seized first place. Congratulations to the teams from our brother departments in Boght, Schenectady, Altimont and Troy.

The climb raised money for a great cause and showed the community what "firemen strong" is all about. The HMFD is proud to hold the title this year and looks forward to defending it next year!
